For Bambu Lab A1 · DIY assembly required
Combine SwapMod DIY files and assembly hardware with four 0.4 mm high-flow hardened steel hotends and A1 maintenance spares.
Print the parts yourself, assemble the mechanism and prepare your repeat-printing workflow.
Installed setup shown for demonstration. Printed SwapMod components, build plates and printer are not included in this DIY bundle.
Two useful upgrades, together
SwapMod uses prepared movements on your A1 to activate mechanical plate changing, helping reduce manual plate handling between repeat jobs.
No added electronic controller or custom A1 firmware is required.
Keep high-flow hotends with wear-resistant hardened steel nozzles and maintenance components ready when you need them.
Replace an affected component without first needing to place a new parts order.
Know exactly what you receive
Print the parts yourself.
Printed SwapMod plastic components are not included. Assemble and install the mechanism using your printed parts and the supplied hardware.
Prepare separately: printed SwapMod plastic components, suitable additional build plates, your Bambu Lab A1 and filament. Assembly and manual installation are required.
Need extra build plates? Browse build plates or ask us to check your plate setup . Follow the current SwapMod plate requirements before selecting additional plates.
High-flow hotends · Hardened steel nozzles
The four included hotends combine a high-flow design with 0.4 mm hardened steel nozzles. Hardened steel provides wear resistance when printing abrasive materials.
For PETG-CF, check that the filament manufacturer supports a 0.4 mm nozzle and your printer setup. Follow the recommended drying, temperature and flow settings for the material.
Some fiber-filled filaments require a larger nozzle. Printing performance depends on the material, profile and operating conditions.
